Courses
The Engineering Materials and Processes series focuses on all forms of materials and the processes used to synthesize and formulate them as they relate to the various engineering disciplines. The series deals with a diverse range of materials: ceramics; metals (ferrous and non-ferrous); semiconductors; composites, polymers, biomimetics etc.
We teach the subject for students to grab the basics that simplify everyday situations faced by many professionals and even non-professionals, including having to solve word problems, calculate tips, make change, or match American and metric measurements.
Students are taught elementary surveying, including fundamentals of plane surveying; use and care of equipment. Covers accurate measuring of distance; theory and practice of leveling, angles and bearings; principles and use of transit; curves; stadia; and topographic and land surveying.
This subject also known as drafting or draughting, is to teach the act and discipline of composing drawings that visually communicate how something functions or is to be constructed. Technical drawing is essential for communicating ideas in industry and engineering.
Requirements
Four Credits in WASC/NECO/GCE including English Language in not more than two sittings. OR Grade II Teachers Certificate with at least a merit.
- Complete 60 credit hours made up 48 credits of online class and 12 credit hours of internship/appreticeship with a minimum CGPA of 4.0
- Fulfill 6 months of apprenticeship requirement
- Evidence of Christian Character
- Complete the program in two and not more than three years. Failure to complete in three years requires an application for extension for another one year
All courses are 3 credits each except otherwise specified. C= compulsory; R= required; E= elective
